Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment is seeking a Process Development Engineer in Galway to develop and validate new process technologies and improve existing processing methods. You will work closely with project leaders, R&D, operations, and internal teams to understand product requirements and deliverables.

In this hands-on role, you will design production equipment, tooling, and fixtures, collaborating with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure scalable solutions are implemented for seamless

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required.
• 4–5 years of relevant experience in process development.
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills and experience with process validation and statistical analysis.
• Experience with metal processing, joining techniques, and emerging technologies is advantageous.
• Proficient in SolidWorks and/or 3D modeling.
• Demonstrated team leadership and people management abilities.
• Working knowledge of regulatory requirements and technical documentation practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and validate new process technologies and improve existing processing methods.
• Collaborate with project leaders, R&D, operations, and internal teams to understand product requirements and deliverables.
• Design and develop production equipment, tooling, and fixtures, collaborating with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
• Ensure robust, scalable solutions are implemented from system, equipment, and test perspectives for seamless manufacturing transfer.
• Provide direction, coaching, and development to engineers and technicians, promoting high-performance teamwork.
• Lead risk assessments, develop and maintain technical documentation, and ensure compliance with quality management systems.
