Job summary

Mastercard’s Customer Acquisition & Engagement group seeks a Senior Principal, Software Architect to shape a scalable MarTech platform. This hands‑on role influences Product, Engineering and Technology teams, defining architectural vision and practical roadmaps.

Based in Dublin with a three‑day onsite hybrid schedule, you will drive large‑scale distributed systems, ensure security and cost efficiency, mentor engineers, and align technical decisions with business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience shaping enterprise-scale architecture and platform strategy.
• Strong CS foundation and hands-on software engineering with problem solving.
• Experience using generative AI within engineering workflows, with focus on security and data handling.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the North Star architecture for Mastercard’s marketing tech ecosystem, translating strategy into scalable technical vision.
• Develop phased architecture roadmaps moving platforms toward the target state, with clear priorities and tradeoffs.
• Lead architecture across large-scale distributed systems ensuring scalability, security, observability, and cost efficiency.
• Drive integration and simplification of the MarTech stack including data, identity, audiences, personalization, and measurement.
• Mentor architects and engineers, promoting best practices and cross-functional collaboration.
