Job summary

IFS seeks a Senior Principal Platform Lead to own the Internal Developer Platform, define golden paths, and drive adoption across NGA and IFS product teams. This is a hands-on IC role with architectural influence, working across multiple domains to ensure a cohesive, developer-friendly platform.

You will set strategy, build with code, and mentor engineers while communicating clearly with non-technical stakeholders. Hybrid work options available.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in platform, infrastructure, or developer-tooling engineering.
• Hands-on experience designing, building and shipping production AI applications.
• Experience owning an Internal Developer Platform or developer portal (Backstage, Port, Cortex, etc.).
• Experience bringing developer platforms into production at enterprise scale.
• Proven ability to communicate platform strategy to product managers and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Own the IDP vision, roadmap, and end-to-end execution.
• Define platform standards to make the right way the easy way.
• Drive adoption: onboarding time, self-service, platform NPS, time-to-first-deploy.
