Job summary

Fehily Timoney & Co is seeking a Senior or Principal Engineer focused on renewables to join the Sustainable Infrastructure team across Cork, Carlow or Dublin. The role offers exposure to wind farms, solar, and BESS with opportunities for career progression to Associate and Director.

Responsibilities include leading design teams, preparing designs and reports, coordinating with discipline leads, and mentoring staff while travelling to site visits and client meetings.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or related field and Chartered Engineer status.
  • 8 years post‑graduate experience for the Senior position and 12 post‑graduate experience for the Principal position.
  • Experience in the design and delivery of infrastructure schemes, including delivering projects in Ireland or the U.K.
  • Delivery of renewables projects in Ireland or the U.K. a plus.
  • Experience in the delivery of design and build projects a plus.
  • Multi‑disciplinary design management experience.
  • Experience engaging with clients, external stakeholders and sub‑consultants.
  • Candidate should be a high‑energy professional with excellent communication, organisation and analytical skills.
  • Flexible and a good team player.
  • Works efficiently and on own initiative.
  • Must be prepared to travel to site visits and client meetings.
  • Full Drivers Licence

  • Ensuring compliance with our quality assurance and management systems and relevant health and safety legislation
  • Coordinating his/her work with other members of the project and Sustainable Infrastructure team
  • Liaising with clients and stakeholders for his/her project

FT is seeking to appoint a Senior or Principal Engineer with a focus on renewables projects, to join our Sustainable Infrastructure team in either our Cork, Carlow or Dublin offices. The successful candidate will become part of an established and dynamic company, with the opportunity to expand their expertise and broaden their professional experience. The role provides exposure to a diverse range of renewable projects including Wind Farms, Solar farms and BESS projects, including Design, Independent Checking, Design and Build and Owners Engineer roles. FT offers the successful candidate a clear path for career development to Associate and Director positions.
