Position: Associate – Renewable Projects

FT is seeking to appoint an Associate with a focus on renewables projects, to join our Sustainable Infrastructure team in either our Cork, Carlow or Dublin offices.

The successful candidate will become part of an established and dynamic company, with the opportunity to expand their expertise and broaden their professional experience. The role provides exposure to a diverse range of renewable projects including Wind Farms, Solar Farms and BESS projects in Design, Independent Checking, Design and Build, and Owners Engineer roles.

FT offers the successful candidate a clear path for career development to Director positions.

Responsibilities
  • Leading multi‑disciplinary design teams, ensuring projects are delivered to the required timescales, quality and budgets
  • Managing a portfolio of projects including client relationships and communications for their group of projects
  • Mentoring and managing more junior Engineers and Project Managers within the Sustainable Infrastructure Division
  • Preparation of designs, technical reports and tender documents for renewable projects
  • Planning and managing design work, working closely with Engineering Discipline Leads and Technicians
  • Ensuring compliance with our quality assurance and management systems and relevant health and safety legislation
  • Coordinating work with other members of the project and Sustainable Infrastructure team
  • Liaising with clients and stakeholders for the project
Qualifications
  • Degree in Civil Engineering or related field and Chartered Engineer status
  • 15 years post‑graduate experience in renewables and infrastructure projects
  • Experience in the design and delivery of renewables and infrastructure schemes, including delivering projects in Ireland or the U.K.
  • Experience in the delivery of design and build projects a plus
  • Multi‑disciplinary design management experience
  • Experience engaging with clients, external stakeholders and sub‑consultants
  • High energy professional with excellent communication, organisation and analytical skills
  • Flexible and a good team player
  • Works efficiently and on own initiative
  • Must be prepared to travel to site visits and client meetings
