Job summary

Fehily Timoney & Co seeks an Associate Director for its Sustainable Infrastructure team in Ireland. The role involves leading multi-disciplinary design teams and managing a portfolio of projects across national roads, greenways, public transport and renewables.

It offers a clear path toward Director level and exposure to diverse schemes. Based in Cork, Carlow or Dublin, the successful candidate will mentor staff, coordinate design work, manage client relationships and ensure adherence to

Qualifications

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or related field and Chartered Engineer status.
  • 15 years post-graduate experience in the design and project management of infrastructure projects, including delivering projects in Ireland
  • Delivery of highway or greenway projects in accordance with TII and NTA Standards and Guidelines a plus
  • Experience in the delivery of design and build projects is an advantage
  • Multi-disciplinary design management experience
  • Experience engaging with clients, external stakeholders and sub-consultants
  • Experience in creating and managing budgets
  • High-energy professional with excellent communication, organisational, and analytical skills
  • Flexible and a good team player
  • Willing to travel to site visits and client meetings
  • Full driver's licence

Responsibilities

  • Leading multi-disciplinary design teams, ensuring projects are delivered to the required timescales, quality and budgets
  • Managing a portfolio of projects including client relationships and communications for their group of projects
  • Mentoring and managing more junior Project Managers within the Sustainable Infrastructure Division
  • Supervising and mentoring senior and junior staff within the Sustainable Infrastructure Division
  • Planning and managing design work, working closely with Engineering Discipline Leads and Technicians
  • Preparation of technical reports and tender documents
  • Coordinating his/her work with other members of the project and Infrastructure team
  • Ensuring compliance with our quality assurance and management systems and relevant health and safety legislation

FT is seeking to appoint an Associate Director to join our Sustainable Infrastructure team in either our Cork, Carlow or Dublin offices. The successful candidate will become part of an established and dynamic company, with the opportunity to expand their expertise and broaden their profession experience. The role provides exposure to a diverse range of projects, including national road schemes, greenway and active travel, public transport and renewable energy projects, as well as major design and build schemes.

FT's Responsibilities What would my main responsibilities be in this role?
