Fehily Timoney and Company is seeking a Senior or Principal Engineer to join the Sustainable Infrastructure team with a focus on renewables projects. The role is based in Cork, Carlow or Dublin and offers exposure to wind farms, solar farms and BESS projects, including design, ICF, design-build and owners engineer roles.

- Degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Chartered Engineer status preferred.
- 8 years post-graduate experience for Senior or 12 years for Principal.
- Experience delivering infrastructure schemes in Ireland or the UK.
- Renewables project experience (wind/solar/BESS) is a plus.
- Strong communication and ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead multi-disciplinary design teams to deliver projects on time, to quality and budget.
- Supervise and mentor senior and junior staff within Sustainable Infrastructure.
- Prepare designs, technical reports and tender documents for renewables projects.
- Plan and manage design work with discipline leads and technicians.
- Ensure QA and health & safety compliance across projects.
- Coordinate work with other project team members and clients.

FT is seeking to appoint a Senior or Principal Engineer with a focus on renewables projects, to join our Sustainable Infrastructure team in either our Cork, Carlow or Dublin offices.
The successful candidate will become part of an established and dynamic company, with the opportunity to expand their expertise and broaden their professional experience. The role provides exposure to a diverse range of renewable projects including Wind Farms, Solar farms and BESS projects, including Design, Independent Checking, Design and Build and Owners Engineer roles.

What would my main responsibilities be in this role?
- Leading and participating in multi-disciplinary design teams, ensuring projects are delivered to the required timescales, quality and budgets
- Supervising and mentoring senior and junior staff within the Sustainable Infrastructure Division
- Preparation of designs, technical reports and tender documents for renewable projects
- Planning and managing design work, working closely with Engineering Discipline Leads and Technicians
- Ensuring compliance with our quality assurance and management systems and relevant health and safety legislation
- Coordinating his/her work with other members of the project and Sustainable Infrastructure team
- Liaising with clients and stakeholders for his/her project
Am I the right person for the role?
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related field and Chartered Engineer status
- 8 years post-graduate experience for the Senior position and 12 post-graduate experience for the Principal position
- Experience in the design and delivery of infrastructure schemes, including delivering projects in Ireland or the U.K.
- Delivery of renewables projects in Ireland or the U.K. a plus
- Experience in the delivery of design and build projects a plus
- Multi-disciplinary design management experience
- Experience engaging with clients, external stakeholders and sub-consultants
- Candidate should be a high-energy professional with excellent communication, organisation and analytical skills
- Flexible and a good team player
- Works efficiently and on own initiative
- Must be prepared to travel to site visits and client meetings
- Full Drivers Licence
