WSP Ireland is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead the Ireland Roads Team in Dublin. You will drive the design and project management of major national road schemes and active travel projects, coordinating multi-disciplinary inputs and delivering high-quality designs.
The role requires Chartered/ Incorporated Engineer status with 5+ years in roads/public transport schemes, and a strong focus on client management and delivering on time and budget.

The Ireland Roads Team is seeking a Principal Engineer with extensive post professional qualification experience in the design and project management of road schemes and active travel schemes to work in our Dublin office. The team is growing and offers excellent opportunities for the right candidate.
The successful candidate will lead and help grow a team undertaking preliminary and detailed designs for major national Road/Transport schemes including the N/M20 Cork to Limerick Project, Public Transport schemes including Metrolink, Cork Bus Connects and Active Travel schemes for the National Transport Authority and Local Authorities.
The right candidate shall be able to take on significant elements of design working on their own initiative with some support from the senior specialist in the relevant field. The successful candidate shall be able to obtain and analyse information, report on findings through effective communication of project proposals, assessments and intended outcomes.
The successful candidate will be degree qualified in civil engineering or another appropriate subject and be a member of an appropriate professional institution. It is anticipated that you will be a Chartered Civil Engineer or an Incorporated Engineer with extensive (i.e. > 5 years) post professional qualification experience.
The successful candidate will be capable of working to tight project deadlines, work comfortably under pressure and have an open and honest approach. Evidence of good communication and team working skills will be sought.
