Job summary

Challenger Recruitment Specialists Dublin client seeks a Senior Portfolio Operations Analyst to join a growing asset management group. You will oversee investment operations across fixed income, derivatives and multi-asset products, with exposure to senior management and a major OMS project.

You will drive data integrity, instrument setup, and reconciliations while collaborating with Investment, Trading and Technology teams to deliver robust operational controls and improvements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in portfolio operations, middle office or related environment.
• Professional qualification such as IMC, CFA, ACCA or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of securities, financial markets and investment products.
• Experience with IBOR, reconciliations, instrument setup, pricing or securities processing.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support IBOR validation, investment data integrity and portfolio supervisory oversight.
• Oversee instrument setup, valuation and maintenance across asset classes.
• Investigate and resolve cash, position, valuation and transaction reconciliations.
• Maintain securities master data and market references within the OMS.

The Opportunity

• An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Portfolio Operations Analyst to join a growing Operations function within a sophisticated asset management environment.
• This is a hands-on, technically focused role requiring strong knowledge of investment operations, securities and asset classes, particularly across fixed income, derivatives and broader multi-asset investment products.
• The successful individual will work closely with Investment, Trading, Technology and Operations teams, with exposure to senior management and a broad range of investment workflows.
• A particularly attractive feature is the opportunity to contribute to a major new Order Management System (OMS) implementation, providing involvement in a significant business-wide project alongside ongoing operational responsibilities.

The Role

The successful individual will:

• Support IBOR validation, investment data integrity and portfolio operational oversight
• Oversee instrument setup, valuation and maintenance across multiple asset classes
• Investigate and resolve cash, position, valuation and transaction-related reconciliation breaks
• Maintain securities master data and associated market reference information within the OMS
• Work closely with Investment, Trading, Technology and external service providers
• Support new fund and portfolio setup, operational controls and process improvements
• Contribute to the implementation of a new OMS and associated systems enhancement initiatives
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members

Ideal Candidate

We are seeking an experienced investment operations professional with:

• 5+ years' relevant experience across portfolio operations, middle office, investment operations or related environments
• Professional qualification such as IMC, CFA, ACCA or equivalent.
• Strong foundational knowledge of securities, financial markets and investment products
• Good understanding of fixed income, derivatives and broader multi-asset operational workflows
• Experience across IBOR, reconciliations, instrument setup, pricing or securities processing
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and operational control capabilities
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with stakeholders at different levels
• A proactive, self-sufficient and solutions-oriented approach
• An interest in technology, automation and operational improvement
• Exposure to SQL, Python, Power BI or related analytics tools would be advantageous, although previous project or systems implementation experience is not essential.
