Job summary

Bloomberg seeks a Senior Software Engineer to own and evolve a proxy and connectivity platform in its Dublin office. You will contribute to infrastructure-as-code, deployment workflows, validation systems, and automation for complex production environments, with a focus on reliability and operational safety.

You will work on Python and Go-based services, leverage KVM virtualization on RHEL, and use Humio, Splunk, and Grafana for observability.

Qualifications

• Experience building production infrastructure and platforms.
• Ability to reason through ambiguous problems and make design decisions.
• Strong communication skills and architectural thinking.
• Degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and build software systems that manage proxy and observability infrastructure at scale.
• Build deployment, configuration, validation, and observability platforms for production infrastructure.
• Improve telemetry, alerting, and health checks and support on-call readiness.
• Collaborate with internal users and partner teams to deliver solutions.
• Review code with high standards for correctness, maintainability, and safety.
• Shape architecture and operating model as the platform evolves.
