Job summary

Moofwd in Ireland seeks a Senior Systems / Platform Engineer with 10+ years of experience to lead platform engineering, automation, and 24x7 production support for a Golang-based proxy platform in a global FinTech and payments environment.

You will engineer, deploy and operate the proxy platform and Ansible automation across global sites, collaborating with Software Engineering, Network, Infrastructure, Security and Operations teams to ensure production readiness and scale.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Systems/Platform/SRE roles, with seniority across Build and Run.
• Strong Linux experience in large-scale production environments.
• Advanced Ansible experience and infrastructure automation.
• Golang experience is highly desirable for platform work.
• Experience deploying and operating globally distributed infrastructure.
• Strong networking, proxy, DNS, load balancing and secure connectivity knowledge.
• Experience with CI/CD, Git and modern platform engineering practices.
• Understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code and repeatable deployment patterns.
• Experience with monitoring, logging and automated remediation.
• Excellent communication across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, deploy and operate the platform across global sites.
• Develop and enhance Ansible automation for deployment and lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with software engineers to ensure production readiness and scalability.
• Lead large-scale global deployments, upgrades, and maintenance.
• Design solutions for high availability, resilience and security.
• Provide senior-level production support for a 24x7 global environment.
• Develop observability and remediation capabilities to preempt issues.
• Establish production-readiness standards and runbooks.
• Work with Network, Security, Cloud and Infrastructure teams on end-to-end solutions.
• Identify recurring issues and drive automation-driven improvements.
• Mentor engineers and act as escalation point for complex platform issues.
