Job summary

Grafana Labs, a 100% remote company, is hiring an engineer for the Foundations team’s Metal squad. You will build and provision resources including storage, networking and Kubernetes clusters in new environments, starting with physical hardware, and provide a Kubernetes control plane to support our engineering workloads.

You will work with Go, Python and Shell, maintain Crossplane and Terraform modules, and collaborate with Grafana Cloud teams to understand needs and deliver scalable, reliable

Qualifications

• Experience with distributed systems and operating code in production.
• Go, Python, and Shell are the main tech stack.
• Datacenter exposure and on-call rotation experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage physical Metal environment from bare metal to Kubernetes.
• Manage cluster networking components: load balancing, NAT, DNS, CNIs, cross-cluster communication, routing protocols.
• Manage scheduling and autoscaling.
• Maintain Crossplane compositions and Terraform modules for CSP resources and provider compatibility.
• Collaborate with Grafana Cloud teams to understand needs and deliver capabilities.
