Job summary

Zinkworks, a global leader in innovation headquartered in Athlone, Ireland, seeks a Senior Platform Engineer to design, deliver and scale cloud-based infrastructure behind client contact centres. You will scale Kubernetes-based systems, enhance observability, and integrate CI/CD pipelines while mentored by voice platform experts to gain exposure to Genesys and Amazon Connect.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in platform, cloud, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering.
• Strong skills in Linux, Docker/Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Willingness to learn contact centre tooling (Genesys, Amazon Connect, Avaya).
• Experience in regulated or enterprise environments.
• Scripting experience (Python, Bash) and debugging.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Linux-based systems for customer contact services.
• Contribute to platform automation, monitoring, and deployment tooling (CI/CD, GitOps).
• Troubleshoot and support production systems in a 24/7 high-availability environment.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to upskill in SIP, VoIP, and telephony environments.
• Participate in agile sprint cycles, code reviews, and platform optimization.
• Write and maintain platform documentation and incident runbooks.
