Job summary

Zinkworks in Athlone, Ireland, is seeking a Senior Architect to design the core platform that will host and orchestrate AI agents across the enterprise, defining architecture, security standards, and microservices patterns. Qualifications

• 5+ years as Senior/Lead Solution Architect.
• Deep expertise in GCP platforms (Cluster, IAM, API management).
• Experience with Vector Databases, LLMs, and Big Data pipelines.
• Mastery of microservices and distributed architectures.
• Strong telecom domain knowledge across RAN, Core, OSS/BSS.
• Hands-on cloud experience across GCP/AWS/Azure.

Responsibilities

• Own the high-level design of the Agentic Platform on Google Cloud (GCP).
• Define how microservices, AI models, and data pipelines interact securely.
• Establish governance patterns for Generative AI, including RAG frameworks and TSA compliance.
• Define API contracts (OpenAPI/Swagger) and event-driven patterns (Pub/Sub).
• Act as the Design Authority, reviewing and approving architectural artefacts across teams.
• Lead solution design of the integration and orchestration frameworks across telecom environments.

The Opportunity

We are partnering with a major UK Telecommunications provider to deliver their flagship "Agentic AI" transformation program. Operating from our Innovation Hub in Athlone, we are building a "CTO 2.0" ecosystem moving our client from legacy, manual workflows to an intelligent, automated operating model powered by Autonomous AI Agents.

We need a Senior Architect to lead the design of the core platform that will host and orchestrate AI agents across the enterprise, defining the architecture, security standards, and microservices patterns that underpin this transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the high-level design of the "Agentic Platform" on Google Cloud (GCP).

• Define how microservices, AI models, and data pipelines interact securely.
• Establish governance patterns for Generative AI, including RAG frameworks and TSA compliance.
• Define API contracts (OpenAPI/Swagger) and event-driven patterns (Pub/Sub).

Must-Have Skills:

• 5+ years operating as a Senior/Lead Solution Architect.
• Deep expertise in architecting on GCP (Cloud Run, GKE, Apigee, IAM).
• Proven experience designing platforms integrating Vector Databases, LLMs, and Big Data pipelines.
• Mastery of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Deep domain expertise across RAN, Core, OSS/BSS, and network automation.
• Demonstrated capability designing large-scale, distributed telecom systems.
• Hands-on proficiency with cloud services across GCP/AWS/Azure.
