Elastic, the Search AI Company, seeks a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (Capacity) to scale Elastic Cloud Hosted and Serverless workloads across 60+ regions. You will collaborate with control plane and cross-functional platform teams on capacity models and proactive scaling initiatives.

Requirements include 5+ years in cloud infrastructure, capacity management, and experience with compute autoscaling across major CSPs. Flexibility in work locations is offered across regions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure and capacity management.
• Strong knowledge of performance monitoring and optimization techniques.
• Experience with cloud scaling challenges and solutions.
• Proficiency in incident investigation and troubleshooting processes.

Responsibilities

• Assess current and future capacity requirements to ensure seamless scaling of resources.
• Develop and maintain capacity models predicting resource needs aligned with business objectives.
• Collaborate with teams to implement proactive measures preventing capacity shortages and bottlenecks.
• Implement strategies for optimizing resource usage across cloud environments to boost performance.
• Operate autoscaling frameworks and optimize infrastructure across regions.
• Analyze capacity metrics to guide resource allocation and build visibility reporting tools.
