Job summary

Adecco is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer/Architect for a 12‑month contract in Dublin. The role focuses on designing and delivering internet infrastructure solutions in a technically complex environment.

You will collaborate with architects, engineers, and users to ensure all high‑level requirements are met while producing technical documentation and maintaining current architectural artifacts.

Qualifications

• We require experience with internet infrastructure design and related technologies.
• Strong knowledge of network, OS, and middleware principles.
• Experience with F5 and related platform technologies.
• Advanced knowledge of load balancers and web application firewalls.
• Working knowledge of databases, cloud technologies, and Zero Trust Architecture.
• Experience with YAML-based deployments and Visio or equivalent tools.
• Infrastructure design experience across cloud environments and data centre security.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with architects, engineers, application teams, and users to capture high‑level requirements.
• Produce technical documentation such as TADs, diagrams, and models.
• Keep stakeholders aligned as the platform evolves and remains current.
• Design and deliver internet infrastructure solutions that meet service and backbone needs.

Requirements:

• We require experience in internet fundamentals related to web servers, application servers, internet security, and related internet technologies.
• We require thorough knowledge and understanding of network and operating system principles, as well as web middleware.
• We require thorough knowledge in one or more core functions related to internet infrastructure design and/or web administration.
• We require experience with F5 and related platform technologies.
• We require advanced knowledge of load balancers and web application firewalls.
• We require working knowledge of database technologies.
• We require working knowledge of cloud technologies.
• We require knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture principles and network micro-segmentation.
• We require experience with drawing tools such as Visio or similar.
• We require experience working with YAML-based deployments.
• We require infrastructure design experience, cloud experience, and security knowledge, including data centre and infrastructure security experience.

Responsibilities:

• We generate requirements with other architects, engineers, application teams, and users to ensure all high-level requirements are met.
• We produce technical documentation such as TADs, technical documents, logical flows, and models.
• We keep users, architects, and engineers aligned and up to date as the application, system, or platform evolves.
• We ensure all architectural products and products with architectural input remain current and do not become obsolete.
• We design and deliver internet infrastructure solutions that satisfy member, product, service, and backbone requirements.
