Job summary

H&MV Engineering is seeking a Senior Planner (Commissioning) in Ireland. The role focuses on building and maintaining the project programme across tender, design, construction and commissioning, with regular progress reviews and change management.

You will support the project team by measuring performance, identifying risks and ensuring contractual compliance. The position involves mentoring junior planners and working with the planning department to deliver on programme milestones.

Qualifications

• Experience in building and maintaining project programmes across tender, design, construction and commissioning stages.
• Ability to identify risks, monitor progress and report findings to stakeholders.
• Mentor and develop junior planners within the team.

Responsibilities

• Build project programmes (Tender/PCSA/Contract/Execution/Design/Commissioning) using planning software.
• Attend internal weekly project meetings and gather progress data weekly.
• Update schedules with progress, delays and changes to logic or durations.
• Model delays and variations to keep the master programme accurate.
• Provide regular status reports and escalation of project risks to leadership.
• Mentor Planners and Junior Planners; participate in training.
• Attend client programme meetings and coordinate with subcontractors.
