Job summary

Vickerstock are partnering with a leading Irish main contractor to recruit a Senior Planner to support Dublin project portfolios. You will prepare and manage programmes, monitor progress, and provide forward-looking planning guidance to project teams for better delivery.

Requirements include at least 5 years in a planning role within construction/civil engineering, with strong Primavera P6, Excel and PowerPoint skills. A competitive package awaits.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning for construction/civil projects is essential.
• Must have strong Primavera P6 proficiency.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills with ability to work across teams.

Responsibilities

• Preparing contract and project programmes, alongside producing regular monthly progress reports.
• Monitoring project progress, productivity trends, outputs and resource allocation to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Managing scheduling and reporting requirements throughout tender and contract stages.
• Working closely with project teams on programme development, scheduling and progress reviews.
• Building effective working relationships with project teams, subcontractors, supply chain partners and key stakeholders.
• Undertaking short- and medium-term planning reviews, identifying potential risks and mitigating them.
• Reviewing construction methodologies and challenging approaches to improve outcomes.
• Providing planning advice to support project delivery.

You will be responsible for:

• Preparing contract and project programmes, alongside producing regular monthly progress reports.

What you will need

• A relevant third-level qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years' experience in a planning role within the construction and/or civil engineering industry.
• Demonstrable experience developing and managing construction project programmes and schedules.
• Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6.
• Excellent Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Strong analytical, communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary project teams.
