Job summary

European Tech Recruit are working closely with a leading semicon company in County Cork looking for a talented Physical Design Engineer to join their team. In this role you will be part of a global team that will drive and execute on all phases of the complete physical implementation for the next generation of premium-tier SOCs in bleeding edge technologies.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of physical design experience.
• Knowledge of netlist to GDS flow.
• Experience with 10nm and below nodes.
• Strong STA and timing closure knowledge.
• Power and PI analysis understanding.
• PV/DRC closure experience.
• Automation scripting with Perl and TCL.
• Excellent cross-functional communication.

Responsibilities

• Drive complete physical implementation from floorplan to GDS.
• Develop flows and scripts to optimize PPA.
• Collaborate with design teams on timing, power, and routing.
• Research industry trends to ensure best practices.
• Analyze data to identify PPA improvements.
