Job summary

Force Recruitment and Outsourcing seeks a Supervising Pharmacist for a well-established community pharmacy in Dublin. You will hold full professional and legal responsibility, leading a team and ensuring high dispensary standards.

You will provide clinical advice, manage stock and daily operations, and build strong relationships with patients and GPs. PSI registration and 3+ years post-registration experience are required; Monday–Friday with a four-day option available.

Qualifications

  • PSI registered pharmacist with license in Ireland.
  • Minimum 3 years post-registration experience; supervising pharmacist experience is a plus.
  • Natural leader who mentors others and supports career progression.
  • Ability to give clear direction, delegate effectively and provide constructive feedback.
  • Strong clinical knowledge with excellent attention to detail.
  • Calm under pressure, organized and able to work on your own initiative.
  • Eligible to work in Ireland.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and develop the pharmacy team - support pharmacists, technicians and front-of-shop staff through day-to-day guidance, structured training and regular feedback
  • Set clear standards for the dispensary and build a culture of accountability, patient safety and continuous improvement
  • Identify individual strengths and development needs, supporting career progression and ensuring the team is confident and capable
  • Carry out ongoing review through audit, observation and risk assessment to maintain quality and compliance
  • Oversee the day-to-day running of the dispensary, ensuring safe, accurate and efficient dispensing in line with PSI standards and SOPs
  • Provide clinical advice and patient consultations on prescription, OTC and complementary medicines
  • Manage stock control, ordering and monthly submissions to payment boards
  • Act as a role model for the team and build strong relationships with patients, local GPs and other healthcare professionals

Contract: Permanent, full-time (40 hours; four-day option is also available)

Force Recruitment is seeking a Supervising Pharmacist on behalf of a well-established community pharmacy in Dublin. This is a leadership role for a PSI-registered pharmacist who enjoys building and developing a team, making professional decisions, and creating a dispensary where high standards are delivered every day.

As Supervising Pharmacist, you will hold full professional and legal responsibility for the pharmacy, but this is as much a people-leadership role as a clinical one.

You will:
  • Lead, coach and develop the pharmacy team - support pharmacists, technicians and front-of-shop staff through day-to-day guidance, structured training and regular feedback

About You
  • Registered with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI)
  • Minimum 3 years' post-registration experience; prior experience as a Supervising Pharmacist an advantage
  • A natural leader who enjoys mentoring others and seeing colleagues grow
  • Able to give clear direction, delegate effectively and give constructive feedback
  • Strong clinical knowledge with excellent attention to detail
  • Calm under pressure, organised and able to work on your own initiative
  • Eligible to work in Ireland
