Job summary

Tandem Project Management Ltd. in Ireland is recruiting a Senior Project Manager to lead end-to-end pharmaceutical capital delivery, including manufacturing, utilities, and cleanroom projects within a GMP environment.

You will manage multi-disciplinary teams, drive cost control, schedules, and regulatory compliance, and report to senior leadership on risks and milestones.

The role requires extensive EPCMV experience, PMP/Prince2, and willingness to travel up to 20–30%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Process, Chemical, or Mechanical) with Master’s degree ideal.
• 15+ years delivering medium/large capital projects in pharma/regulated life sciences.
• Experience in small and large molecule API manufacturing preferred.
• Proven track record delivering multiple large-scale pharmaceutical capital projects (≥$25M).
• Strong knowledge of cGMP, GxP, cleanroom design, utilities, and validation.
• Leadership of large cross-functional and multicultural project teams.
• Experience with EPCMV/EPC contractors and complex supply chains.
• Advanced project management skills: cost control, scheduling, risk mgmt., governance.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and executive reporting.
• PM certification (PMP, Prince2, or equivalent) strongly preferred.
• International travel up to 20–30%.

Responsibilities

• Act as client’s representative for capital investments, leading EPCMV partners.
• Lead full project lifecycle from concept to handover to operations.
• Manage capital projects in pharmaceutical GMP manufacturing environments.
• Develop and maintain project execution plans, schedules, cost forecasts, risk registers, governance.
• Ensure compliance with cGMP, GxP, EHS, Lean, and engineering standards.
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams across engineering, quality, validation, operations, procurement.
• Oversee contractor and supplier management, including selection, contracts, performance, and changes.
• Drive cost control from estimation to management and risk mitigation to meet objectives.
• Lead stage gate reviews to optimise strategy, timelines, resources.
