Job summary

Zurich Insurance Europe AG, Ireland Branch, is seeking a Senior Personal Product Underwriter with a focus on Private Car and Light Commercial Vehicles. You will collaborate with Pricing, Product Underwriting, Claims, Finance, Sales & Distribution and Brokers to ensure underwriting discipline within delegated authority.

You will leverage data and portfolio analytics to support evidence-based decisions and portfolio performance, with flexibility for part-time or full-time arrangements in Ireland.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in underwriting with a motor focus.
• Holds or is working toward CIP/MDI/ACII.
• Excellent technical insurance knowledge, especially Personal Motor Insurance.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Good knowledge of Zurich products and policy wordings.
• UAL 3 Motor Minimum.
• Home underwriting experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support LOB head on plan delivery tasks.
• Review KPIs, metrics and report trends to stakeholders.
• Monitor portfolio mix to identify risks and opportunities.
• Manage referrals from underwriting operations.
• Lead relationships with brokers and MGAs.
• Implement technical standards and maintain underwriting discipline.
• Act as Product Lead on key projects and support others.
• Contribute to development of new propositions based on insights.
• Ensure compliance with Central Bank standards.
• Maintain underwriting records per regulatory and internal needs.
