Job summary

Zurich Insurance Europe AG, Ireland, is seeking a Business Lines Underwriter for our New Business Dublin / Wexford team. The role focuses on underwriting new business submissions, broker relationships and adherence to Zurich guidelines and risk appetite within delegated authority.

Primary location is Dublin or Wexford with flexibility mentioned; you will work closely with Head of New Business, Pricing, and Risk Engineering to drive profitable growth while maintaining regulatory compliance and

Qualifications

• 3+ years of industry experience in underwriting.
• CIP/MDI/ACII or equivalent professional qualifications.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Solid knowledge of Commercial Insurance products and policy wordings.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and analyse new business submissions per Zurich guidelines and risk appetite.
• Negotiate terms with broker partners within delegated authority.
• Prioritise new business pipeline with Sales & Distribution and meet SLA targets.
• Engage with Risk Engineering and internal teams to drive opportunities.
• Maintain underwriting records with regulatory and internal requirements.
• Identify training needs and participate in development activities.
• Deliver high-quality service for renewals when required.
