Job summary

Nicoll Curtin is seeking a Principal Performance Engineer for Dublin-based work on performance testing, bottleneck resolution, and system optimisation. You will design, execute, and automate tests, and collaborate with development teams to improve platform reliability.

The role focuses on end-to-end performance engineering using JMeter, AWS, Groovy/Java, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines. Hybrid working in Dublin is expected under a 12-month contract.

Qualifications

• Design, configure, and execute performance tests, driving issue resolution.
• Create and analyse performance metrics: throughput, response times, concurrency, utilisation.
• Investigate applications, databases, middleware, and third-party software to identify bottlenecks.
• Enhance testing capabilities through automation, tooling, and continuous improvements.
• Support and mentor junior engineers, sharing knowledge and best practices.
• Present performance results and recommendations to technical and business stakeholders.

I am seeking a Senior Performance Engineer to join my client who is a leading financial services company based in Dublin. This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading organisation and contribute to the performance, scalability, and reliability of business-critical applications. Working within a collaborative performance engineering team, you'll partner with development teams to optimise systems and improve overall platform quality.

Key Skills:

• Design, configure, and execute performance tests, driving the resolution of identified issues


• Create and analyse performance metrics such as throughput, response times, concurrency, and system utilisation


• Investigate applications, databases, middleware, and third-party software to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks


• Enhance testing capabilities through automation, tooling, and continuous improvements


• Support and mentor junior engineers, sharing knowledge and best practices
