Job summary

Northern Trust in Limerick is seeking a Senior Consultant to join our Private Equity Fund Accounting team. You will review outputs, manage workloads, and ensure delivery to agreed service levels while providing leadership and coaching to the team.

You will oversee NAVs and valuations, enhance client reporting, and contribute to process improvements and offshore development. A qualified accountant with strong GAAP/IFRS knowledge and a client‑facing mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with extensive post-qualification experience.
• Strong knowledge of Irish/UK GAAP, US GAAP, and IFRS.
• Understanding of Irish regulatory and tax requirements relevant to fund accounting.
• Experience in Private Equity Fund Administration or keen interest.
• Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
• Strong client service mindset.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to prioritise, multitask, and work to tight deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ownership mindset.
• Proficient in MS Excel and comfortable with systems/process improvement initiatives.
• Experience driving efficiencies and automation in processes.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage clearly and confidently at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Review team output and manage workloads to ensure deadlines and SLAs are consistently met.
• Provide coaching, training and ongoing support to team members to foster high performance.
• Review and oversee the completion of NAVs and valuations.
• Enhance client reporting processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Act as a key point of contact for clients and external auditors, managing queries effectively.
• Support offshore team development and process automation initiatives (Investran).
