Job summary

Northern Trust in Limerick is seeking a Manager for our Private Equity Fund Accounting team. You will lead the delivery of high-quality service to clients, monitor workloads, and help shape the team’s growth and the automation of the accounting platform Investran.

The role demands strong accounting qualifications, deep GAAP/IFRS knowledge, and proven leadership. You will work with clients and external auditors, ensure regulatory deadlines are met, and drive process improvements.

Qualifications

• Holds a recognised professional accounting qualification.
• Detailed knowledge of Irish/UK GAAP/US GAAP and IFRS.
• Working knowledge of the Irish regulatory/tax regime related to Fund Accounting.
• Knowledge of or willingness to quickly gain knowledge of Private Equity Fund Administration.
• Client service orientation.
• Ability to lead and develop a team.
• Excellent Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage an expanding Private Equity team within our Limerick operation.
• Deliver high quality service to clients – internal and external - with accurate, timely reporting.
• Organise workload and team members in an efficient, effective manner.
• Improve preparation of client reporting.
• Deliver training/coaching effectively.
• Understand risk in own team and promote risk awareness.
• Liaise with clients and external auditors on fund activities.
• Ensure agreed client service levels and regulatory filing deadlines are met.
• Assist development and automation of the Private Equity accounting platform Investran.
