Senior Consultant – Private Equity Fund Accounting
Location: Limerick
We are recruiting a Senior Consultant to lead and manage the Private Equity Fund Accounting team. The role focuses on ensuring high‑quality client service, meeting deadlines, and maintaining rigorous internal controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the growth and development of the Private Equity team.
- Deliver accurate and timely client service for all deliverables.
- Manage team workloads to consistently meet deadlines and SLAs.
- Review and oversee completion of NAVs and valuations.
- Enhance client reporting processes and identify improvement opportunities.
- Provide coaching, training, and ongoing support to team members.
- Promote a positive, respectful, and high‑performing team culture.
- Ensure strong risk awareness and adherence to internal controls.
- Act as key point of contact for clients and external auditors, managing queries.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and client reporting deadlines.
- Provide regular and constructive feedback to support team development.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives, including offshore team development and process automation (e.g., Investran).
- Assist in delivering departmental goals and strategic priorities.
- Support onboarding of new clients, including fund structures and reporting requirements.
- Communicate effectively with clients, investors, and stakeholders.
- Stay informed on industry, market, and regulatory developments.
Skills & Experience
- Qualified accountant with extensive post‑qualification experience.
- Strong knowledge of Irish/UK GAAP, US GAAP, and IFRS.
- Understanding of Irish regulatory and tax requirements relevant to fund accounting.
- Experience or strong interest in Private Equity Fund Administration.
- Proven ability to lead and develop high‑performing teams.
- Strong client service mindset.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to prioritise, multitask, and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ownership mindset.
- Proficient in MS Excel and comfortable with systems/process improvement initiatives.
- Experience driving efficiencies and automation in processes.
- Excellent communication skills, engaging confidently at all levels.
