Job summary

PGIM Ireland, the global asset management arm of Prudential, is seeking a Manager, Payroll and Benefits to lead the Ireland and EMEA payroll and benefits operations. Based in Letterkenny, the role offers hybrid work and exposure to diverse regulatory frameworks.

You will oversee processing, compliance, and improvements across cyclical payroll tasks, partner with cross-functional HR, and drive data integrity and efficiency in a fast-paced financial services environment.

Qualifications

  • At least 5-7 years in an EMEA payroll processing role.
  • Advanced Irish payroll and benefit knowledge.
  • Experience with payroll and benefits cycles including Year End and LTIs.
  • Experience in regulated financial services company preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Administration, processing, and validation of EMEA payroll and benefits schemes.
  • Drive process improvements and standardisation of payroll/benefits processes.
  • Act as escalation point for payroll/benefits processing concerns.
  • Stay up to date with regulatory developments in Ireland and EMEA.
  • Manage shadow payrolls for cross-border and remote working requirements.
  • Coordinate new country entity setups and annual benefits renewals.

What you will do:

The Global People Service & Solutions team is looking for a highly organized Manager, Payroll and Benefits with strong processing, problem solving and collaborative skills to join a motivated, energetic, and resourceful People Team. Initially reporting to the one of the other Payroll and Benefits Managers in the team, this role will be responsible for the Management, oversight, collation, processing, validating of daily, weekly, monthly, and annual payroll and benefit tasks to ensure accurate, scalable, compliant, and consistent operations and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a very strong understanding of Ireland and other EMEA countries People Team, payroll, benefits administration, monthly and annual statutory returns, payroll systems, different comp programs, different payroll and benefits legislation, standard operating procedures and their collective impact on employee experience and employee data.

This role is primarily based at our Letterkenny location and currently the office is operating with hybrid working arrangements.

What you can expect:
  • Administration, processing, and validation of different EMEA payroll and benefits schemes
  • Optimizing operational excellence by implementing process improvement within the payroll and benefits processing space would include identifying problems/inefficiencies, researching, reviewing, vetting, and implementing, centralization and standardization of best practices and documentation for cyclical process improvements.
  • Act as an escalation point of contact for payroll and benefit processing concerns or changes that need addressing.
  • Escalate any important or urgent issues to the Manager, Payroll and Benefits.
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate risks to the business in relation to payroll and benefits processing.
  • Stay up to date with regulatory developments and best practices with regards to Ireland and other EMEA country payroll and benefits.
  • Manage and administer shadow payrolls in relation to EMEA cross border and remote working requirements.
  • Assist in coordinating new PGIM EMEA entity, branch and country set-ups where required.
  • Assist in coordination of new country benefit set-ups.
  • Manage EMEA-related payroll year end tasks, assist in managing EMEA country annual benefit renewals.
  • Benefit invoice allocation across country business groups.
What you will bring:
  • At least 5-7 years in an EMEA payroll processing role.
  • Advanced Irish payroll and benefit knowledge and processing experience.
  • Excellent working knowledge of processing payroll, comp and benefits cyclical processes, e.g., Year End Compensation, Long Term Incentive programs, terminations.
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency.
  • Experience with dealing with global/multi-national payroll and benefit schemes ideally in a regulated financial services Company.
  • Process oriented, driving improvements to make things as efficient and standard as possible.
  • Excellent judgment and discretion required in handling highly sensitive, privileged, confidential and/or non-public information in an appropriate manner.
  • Strong IT Skills, including good proficiency in Excel.
  • Able to manipulate data, generate reports and provide analysis.
  • Strong critical thinking and logic skills.

  • Experience working in a regional or global payroll team.
