Job summary

Bon Secours Hospital Cork is inviting applications for the Clinical Nurse Manager III (CNM3) – Circulating. This is a full-time permanent role within Bon Secours Health System, Ireland’s largest independent hospital group with over 2,500 staff and a strong patient-care focus.

The successful candidate will have at least five years post-registration experience in acute general nursing, a minimum of two years in management, and a proven track record in Nursing Management at a senior level.

Qualifications

• Registered in the General Division of the live register of nurses kept by the NMBI.
• A minimum of 5 years post registration experience in an acute general.
• A minimum of 2 years management experience is essential.
• A proven track record in Nursing Management at a senior level.
• Preceptorship/teaching and assessing of students is also essential
• Completed a management course and/ other relevant post registration courses.
• Experience in the implementation of service improvement and development.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to problem solve and use their initiative.
• The ability to negotiate and resolve difficult clinical, operational and interpersonal situations.
• Experience the management of effective utilisation of bed capacity and staff management.
• Possess extensive knowledge/experience of the principles and practices of Nurse Management.
• Demonstrate specific knowledge of Quality Framework Health Services in Ireland and to have experience in Accreditation processes.
• Role involves rotation from days to nights/shift work.
