Responsibilities

• Supervise, lead, and manage staff, delegating and allocating duties as necessary.
• Ensure residents are treated with dignity, privacy and respect and treated as individuals.
• Understand the Named Nurse concept and ensure documentation is maintained.
• Establish a personal and meaningful relationship with residents, relatives and visitors, providing support and comfort.
• Ensure Mowlam Healthcare policies are known and adhered to by all staff.
• Maintain clear, concise records in line with legislation and Mowlam Standards.
• Ensure proper control, administration and custody of drugs and medicines.
• Knowledge of HIQA standards and participation in inspection processes.
• Ensure admissions are carried out correctly with proper documentation.
• Liaise with health care professionals regarding discharge to ensure continuity of care.
