Job summary

Solas IT Recruitment is seeking a Senior / Lead .NET Developer to lead technical direction, design scalable cloud-native systems, and shape architecture across teams. You will mentor engineers and drive best practices in distributed microservices environments.

Working with .NET Core (C#), distributed systems, and message-driven design, you will define architecture, review code, and help deliver high-impact solutions while maintaining quality and performance.

Qualifications

• Third level Degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years commercial experience in .NET / C#.
• Deep expertise with .NET Core (C#) and modern backend development.
• Strong experience designing and working with message-based distributed systems.
• Proven experience building or working within microservices architectures.
• Excellent understanding of software design principles and architectural patterns.
• Experience applying industry best practices for application architecture and coding standards.
• Ability to contribute to innovative technical solutions and architectural direction.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of scalable, high-performance applications using .NET Core (C#).
• Define and evolve system architecture with a focus on microservices and distributed systems.
• Drive best practices in software design, architecture, and engineering standards.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to development teams.
• Contribute to architectural decisions, solution design, and technical strategy.
• Ensure systems are resilient, observable, and maintainable in production environments.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, high-quality solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, technical design sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and provide long-term solutions.
