Job summary

Solas IT Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior .NET Developer to join a skilled engineering team delivering modern cloud-based software solutions in Ireland. The role focuses on scalable, business-critical applications, with strong leadership and opportunities for long-term progression.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline (or equivalent commercial experience)
• 4+ years' commercial software development experience
• Strong experience with C# and .NET Core
• Experience designing and developing distributed or message-based systems
• Understanding of software architecture, object-oriented programming and design patterns
• Experience writing clean, maintainable and well-tested code
• Experience with unit testing, peer code reviews and engineering best practices
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Self-motivated with a passion for continuous learning and technical development

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable software solutions using C# and .NET Core
• Develop distributed applications within a modern cloud-native architecture
• Produce clean, maintainable and well-tested code
• Perform unit and functional testing to ensure software quality
• Participate in peer code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices
• Apply coding standards and maintain high levels of code quality
• Work collaboratively within an Agile development team
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and technical standards
• Document technical solutions and share knowledge across the engineering team
