Job summary

Blockdaemon Inc. is seeking a hands-on Site Reliability Engineer to own the cloud infrastructure underpinning our security posture.

You’ll design, harden, and operate multi-cloud foundations across AWS, GCP, and Azure with a focus on network security and egress control. You will manage IaC (Terraform, Ansible, Helm), run production Kubernetes (GKE), and own the network layer including Cloudflare, Tailscale, and egress proxy infra.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in an SRE, infrastructure, or platform engineering role.
• Proven experience with SRE fundamentals: SLOs, toil, blameless postmortems.
• Strong experience with AWS, GCP, and Azure networking primitives.
• Proficiency with IaC and configuration management—Terraform and Ansible.
• Solid network security background including egress control and proxy architecture.
• Hands-on Kubernetes experience in production (GKE), Helm and ArgoCD.
• Experience with Cloudflare or similar edge/CDN/WAF platforms.
• Scripting and automation in Go or Python.
• Clear communicator with security, compliance, and engineering stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own the design, reliability, and hardening of multi cloud infrastructure across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
• Build and maintain infrastructure as code as the source of truth for provisioning.
• Own network security architecture, egress control, and outbound traffic control.
• Manage Cloudflare footprint and API gateway layer (Zuplo).
• Operate and secure Tailscale as zero trust network access layer.
• Run production Kubernetes (GKE) with cluster hardening and network policy.
• Build observability for network and infrastructure health to catch misconfigs early.
• Harden CI/CD and deployment pipelines (GitHub, GitLab, ArgoCD).
• Manage on-call rotation and incident response with durable fixes.
