Job summary

Blockdaemon Inc. is seeking a hands-on Site Reliability Engineer to join our Security team and own the cloud infrastructure that underpins our security posture.

You will design, harden, and operate multi-cloud foundations across AWS, GCP, and Azure with a focus on network security and egress control. You will implement IaC via Terraform and Ansible, manage production Kubernetes (GKE), and own edge components like Cloudflare, Tailscale, and Zuplo, delivering secure, resilient platforms for our

Qualifications

• 5+ years in an SRE, infrastructure, or platform engineering role.
• (Role requires hands-on production workloads across multiple clouds).
• Proven SRE fundamentals including SLOs and toil measurements.
• Strong cloud networking knowledge (VPCs, firewall rules, load balancers).
• Extensive IaC and config mgmt with Terraform and Ansible in daily use.
• Security-focused network design and egress control experience.
• Kubernetes production experience (GKE) with Helm and GitOps (ArgoCD).
• Experience with Cloudflare or similar edge/CDN/WAF platforms and API gateways.
• Hands-on experience with zero-trust networks (Tailscale or similar).
• On-call pager experience and incident postmortems.

Responsibilities

• Own the design, reliability, and hardening of multi-cloud infra (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Build and maintain IaC (Terraform, Ansible, Helm) as source of truth.
• Own network security architecture: egress control and outbound traffic management.
• Manage Cloudflare footprint and API gateway layer (Zuplo).
• Operate Tailscale as zero-trust NWA; design access policies.
• Run production Kubernetes (GKE) with secure deployment patterns.
• Build Grafana observability for network and infra health.
• Harden CI/CD pipelines (GitHub, GitLab, ArgoCD) from security view.
• Own on-call rotation and incident response; drive root-cause fixes.
• Automate manual infrastructure toil; bridge security and platform teams.
