eir business is hiring a Senior End User Computing (EUC) Consultant to lead and deliver modern workplace projects across Citrix, Azure Virtual Desktop and related technologies. The role focuses on solution design, implementation, migration and ongoing support to enable secure, scalable digital workspaces for Ireland-based customers.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in hands-on EUC or related role.
• Experience designing, implementing, upgrading and supporting enterprise VDI or app-delivery environments.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with solution architects, pre-sales, project and service delivery teams to understand customer requirements and design effective EUC solutions.

Role overview

This role requires an experienced End UserComputing consultant with strong working experience across virtual desktop,application delivery and modern workplace technologies. The successfulcandidate will provide solution design, implementation, technical leadership,service delivery, customer engagement and senior-level operational supportacross Citrix and Microsoft platforms.

The successful candidate will work withProfessional Services, Cloud Operations, Solution Architecture, Sales, ProjectManagement and Service Delivery teams to design and deliver secure, scalableand supportable digital workspace solutions for eir business customers.

The role includes the design,implementation, migration, upgrade and support of Citrix Virtual Apps andDesktops, Azure Virtual Desktop, Desktop as a Service and related identity,profile, endpoint and application delivery services. It also includes supportingthe evolution of eir business EUC and Modern Workplace offerings.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate withsolution architects, pre-sales, project and service delivery teams tounderstand customer requirements and design effective EUC solutions.
• Design, implement,upgrade and support Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops and Citrix DaaSenvironments.
• Design, implement,migrate and support Azure Virtual Desktop environments, including host pools,workspaces, application groups and session hosts.
• Design and supportDesktop as a Service offerings across Citrix and Microsoft technologies.
• Assess existingcustomer desktop and application estates and define practical modernisation,migration and transition approaches.
• Configure and supportFSLogix profiles, image management, application delivery and user environmenttechnologies.
• Design and supportCitrix ADC / NetScaler solutions, including Gateway, load balancing, contentswitching, certificate management and secure application access.
• Integrate virtualdesktop solutions with Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, Group Policy,Microsoft Intune, Conditional Access and multifactor authentication.
• Consider Azurenetworking, storage, compute, security, resilience, monitoring and costoptimisation requirements in AVD solution designs.
• Perform customerworkshops, technical discovery sessions, health checks and pre-salesassessments.
• Produce high-qualitytechnical documentation, including high-level and low-level designs, migrationand upgrade plans, statements of work, test plans and operational handovermaterial.
• Lead EUC platformmigrations, lifecycle upgrades, service transitions and customer implementationactivities.
• Troubleshoot complexvirtual desktop, application delivery, login, profile, identity, connectivity,capacity and performance issues.
• Support criticalincident response, root cause analysis and service improvement activities forEUC services.
• Act as a seniorescalation point for Citrix, Azure Virtual Desktop and related Modern Workplacetechnologies.
• Provide knowledgetransfer and mentoring to Cloud Operations, Service Desk and junior consultancyteam members.
• Maintain awareness ofcurrent Citrix, Microsoft Azure, Modern Workplace and EUC best practicesthrough continuous learning.

Required skills and experience

• Minimum 7+ years’experience in a hands-on End User Computing, desktop virtualisation,infrastructure engineering or technical consultancy role.
• Demonstrableexperience designing, implementing, upgrading and supporting enterprise virtualdesktop or application delivery environments.
• Strong hands-oncapability in Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops and/or Citrix DaaS.
• Practical design,deployment, migration or support experience with Azure Virtual Desktop.
• Strongtroubleshooting ability, using a logical and systematic approach to diagnoseroot cause and deliver resolution.
• Experience deliveringcustomer-facing professional services engagements, ideally within a managedservice provider environment.
• Experience workingacross both project delivery and operational support teams.
• Experience producingcustomer-facing design, implementation, migration and operationaldocumentation.

• Microsoft Azurecompute, networking, storage, monitoring and identity services relevant tovirtual desktop solutions.
• Microsoft WindowsServer, Windows 10/11, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Group Policy, DNS,DHCP, NTP and certificate services.
• Microsoft Intune,endpoint management, Conditional Access, multifactor authentication and securedevice access concepts.
• Citrix ADC /NetScaler, Gateway, load balancing, content switching and application deliveryconcepts.
• Virtualisationplatforms, primarily VMware vSphere, including ESXi, vCenter and sharedinfrastructure dependencies.
• PowerShell orequivalent scripting and automation for administration, troubleshooting andrepeatable delivery.

• Experience withWindows 365 and broader Microsoft Modern Workplace technologies.
• Experience usingNerdio Manager for Enterprise or Nerdio Manager for MSP to manage Azure VirtualDesktop.
• Experience withapplication packaging, Microsoft App Attach, MSIX or related applicationdelivery technologies.
• Experience with AzureMonitor, Log Analytics and virtual desktop monitoring or optimisation tooling.
• Experience planningor delivering migrations between on-premises Citrix, Citrix DaaS, Azure VirtualDesktop and Windows 365.
• Relevant MicrosoftAzure, Azure Virtual Desktop, endpoint management or identity certification.
• Relevant third-levelqualification or equivalent industry experience.
