Job summary

Medtronic Galway is seeking a hands-on Senior Electronics Hardware Engineer to develop medical device electronics across the full product lifecycle, from requirements through manufacturing release. You will own PCB and PCBA development and lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, reliable, testable hardware.

The role requires expertise in analog, digital, power, and sensor-interface design, familiarity with IEC 60601 standards, and hands-on experience with Python or LabVIEW for hardware

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in analog, digital, power, and mixed-signal design.
• Proven ability to deliver PCBAs from concept to manufacturing release.

Responsibilities

• Design analog, digital, power, sensor-interface, and mixed-signal electronics for medical devices.
• Own complete PCB/PCBA development and lifecycle support.
• Lead prototype bring-up, testing, and verification.
• Develop hardware test fixtures and automated tests using Python and LabVIEW.
• Ensure IEC 60601-1/60601-1-2 compliance and safety verification.
• Collaborate with systems, software, and manufacturing teams.
