Job summary

Irish M&E Contractor delivering complex building services projects in Dublin is seeking a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to drive mechanical packages from design through commissioning and handover.

You will coordinate technical delivery, ensure compliance, manage procurement and support site teams to meet safety, programme and quality standards. This is a Dublin-based opportunity with clear career progression into senior engineering and project management roles.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years experience in a mechanical engineering or M and E contracting environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, pipework and mechanical systems.
• Experience working across design, installation and commissioning phases.
• Proven ability to manage technical coordination on construction projects.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with clients and site teams.
• Detail focused with a strong commitment to quality and deadlines.
• Organised and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with Health and Safety standards across all project activities
• Review mechanical design drawings, specifications and technical submittals
• Coordinate with design teams and subcontractors to resolve technical issues
• Manage procurement of mechanical equipment and ensure timely delivery to site
• Monitor project programme and support delivery milestones
• Oversee quality of mechanical installations and ensure specification compliance
• Identify and manage variations, technical queries and design changes
• Attend and contribute to client meetings and internal progress reviews
• Support commissioning planning and handover documentation
• Maintain clear and accurate project reporting and documentation
