Job summary

Anduril Industries in Dublin, Ireland, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead rugged enclosure design from concept to production release for a Dublin-based product. The role focuses on mechanical design including sheetmetal, machined, injection-moulded, cast and extruded parts.

The successful candidate will mentor junior engineers, collaborate with hardware to integrate PCBA and cable design, and drive the design through PLM systems toward a robust production-ready solution.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years design experience in an R&D environment.
• Experience with sheetmetal, machined, injection-moulded, cast and extruded parts.
• Proficiency with 3D modelling tools (Creo Parametric, NX).
• Experience with PLM systems and BOM generation.

Responsibilities

• Design rugged enclosure using sheetmetal, turned/milled, injection moulded, cast and extruded parts.
• Liaise with Hardware team on PCBA and cable design.
• Generate parts in PLM system and manage BOMs.
• Liaise with suppliers to source custom parts.
• Prototype assembly/disassembly and develop build instructions.
• Validate designs via environmental testing per standards (MIL-810).
• Lead prototype to final production, with documentation.
• Support product lifecycle with engineering changes and investigations.
