Job summary

AECOM in Dublin is seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to join our Buildings + Engineering team. You will contribute to the design and delivery of innovative mechanical building services across healthcare, education, transport and data centre projects.

You will work with senior engineers, architects, contractors and clients to develop energy-efficient, high-performing systems while adhering to Irish/UK regulations and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
• Experience in a building services consultancy delivering mechanical design solutions.
• Knowledge of Irish/UK building regulations, standards and practices.
• Proficiency in mechanical design software and BIM, including Revit.
• Understanding of HVAC, public health, low-carbon and sustainable systems.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.
• Willingness to work within multidisciplinary teams and grow professionally.

Responsibilities

• Assist design and delivery of mechanical building services projects across sectors.
• Produce designs, calculations, specifications, reports and documentation.
• Coordinate with electrical, structural, civil, architectural and other disciplines.
• Develop energy-efficient building services designs including HVAC and water systems.
• Ensure compliance with Irish Building Regulations and relevant standards.
• Support project delivery with coordination and client communications.
• Attend design team meetings, site visits and inspections as required.
