Biogen in Athlone is seeking a Sr. Engineer II to lead hands-on process and manufacturing sciences for technology transfers and clinical and commercial programs. The role requires on-site presence five days a week, collaborating with cross-functional teams to observe, analyze data, and intervene on the manufacturing floor.

You will mentor junior staff, drive CAPAs, support regulatory filings, and optimize productivity in a parenteral biologics manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required.
• Extensive experience in manufacturing sciences for biologics or parenteral products.
• Strong leadership with hands-on ops experience on the manufacturing floor.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (Tableau, Power BI, Statistica, SIMCA).

Responsabilités

• Provide on-site technical leadership during manufacturing operations with timely decisions.
• Lead rapid assessments and CAPAs for process and product impacts on the floor.
• Collaborate daily with Manufacturing, Quality, and Process Engineering to develop SOPs and batch records.
• Perform real-time data review and trend analysis using Tableau, Power BI, and SIMCA to mitigate risks.
• Lead or support technology transfers from development to manufacturing facilities.
• Own technical components of transfer activities in partnership with Process Engineering and QA.
• Identify optimization opportunities to improve productivity and robustness on-site.
• Drive continuous improvements and monitor effectiveness through hands-on engagement.
• Coordinate technical reports for deviations, CAPAs, and transfer optimization.
• Support regulatory interactions with immediate technical input as needed.
