Job summary

Biogen, Inc. in Athlone, Ireland, seeks a Sr. Engineer II to provide on-site manufacturing sciences leadership for biologics and parenteral programs, including technology transfers and ongoing clinical and commercial manufacturing.

You will collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, and Process Engineering, lead CAPAs and deviations, and review data in real time using Tableau and Power BI, mentoring junior staff on the manufacturing floor. This role is on-site 5 days a week in Athlone.

Qualifications

• Hands-on leadership of manufacturing teams on the shop floor.
• Experience with biologics or parenteral drug products in manufacturing sciences.
• Strong problem-solving and ability to make real-time decisions.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Statistica and SIMCA.
• Experience leading technology transfer projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on, on-site technical leadership during manufacturing operations.
• Lead rapid assessments and CAPAs for process and product impacts.
• Engage with Manufacturing, Quality, and Process Engineering to develop and execute SOPs and batch records.
• Perform real-time data review and trending to mitigate risks.
• Lead or support technology transfers from development to manufacturing facilities.
