Job summary

Abbott Ireland is seeking an experienced engineer to support manufacturing operations in Clonmel. You will optimise processes, monitor equipment, and work with quality and R&D to introduce new products.

You will mentor junior engineers and collaborate with internal/external teams to ensure regulatory compliance and high performance. The role emphasizes technical problem solving, planning, and communication to drive efficient production and quality improvements across vascular manufacturing lines

Qualifications

• Experience / Education: 4+ years of related work experience with education equivalent.
• NFQ Level 7 qualification or higher in a relevant discipline.
• Working technical knowledge with understanding of concepts, practices and procedures.
• Broad knowledge of technical alternatives and their impact on system environments.
• Ability to lead project teams and mentor staff.

Responsibilities

• Initiates and completes technical activities to develop or improve products or processes.
• Support achievement of the company’s strategic goals and objectives.
• Prepare reports, publish findings, and present results.
• Collaborate with quality and R&D to integrate new products or processes.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced staff.
