Job summary

Johnson & Johnson MedTech is seeking a Senior Manager, Facilities Management, based in Ringaskiddy, Cork, Ireland. You will lead end-to-end FM delivery across the EMEA region, ensuring safe, compliant, and cost-efficient operations for non-campus sites.

You will oversee building operations, vendor performance, and risk management while coordinating with global teams to implement Project Osprey transitions and site onboarding. English required, travel up to 20–30%.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Architecture, Business, or related field.
  • 8–10+ years of experience in Facilities Management, Engineering, or Operations, or related field in multinational or regulated environment.
  • Experience managing outsourced FM service models across multiple sites.
  • Experience supporting EMEA countries with diverse regulatory environments.
  • Experience in medical devices, life sciences, manufacturing, or highly regulated industries.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end FM service delivery across EMEA non-campus sites, ensuring global FM standards while adapting to local regulations.
  • Oversee hard and soft FM services, including building operations, maintenance, utilities, janitorial, security, and life-safety systems.
  • Serve as primary escalation point for EMEA FM operational issues affecting safety, compliance, or business continuity.
  • Manage regional FM service providers and site vendors, driving performance against SLAs, KPIs, and service specs.
  • Support regional contract execution, service transitions, and performance remediation with Global FM and Procurement.
  • Identify continuous improvement and cost-optimization opportunities across the EMEA FM portfolio.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance, audit readiness, and documentation across diverse EMEA frameworks.
  • Partner with EHS&S, Quality, Security, and Legal to manage operational risk, incident response, and inspection readiness.
  • Support Project Osprey readiness activities for site separations, transfers, and new locations.
  • Provide FM input into capital projects, site transitions, and lease events.
  • Coordinate FM support for onboarding/offboarding and stabilization activities.
  • Act as trusted operational partner to site leaders on facilities capabilities and risk tradeoffs.
  • Align Global FM standards with local execution and escalate gaps when needed.
  • Support APAC non-campus sites for end-to-end FM delivery when needed.

Job Overview

The Senior Manager, Facilities Management – EMEA is responsible for the end‑to‑end operational delivery of Facilities Management services across the EMEA region, supporting DePuy Synthes sites spanning mature and emerging markets. This role reports into the Director, Facilities Management for EMEA/APAC and translates regional FM strategy into site‑level execution, ensuring safe, reliable, compliant, and cost‑effective hard and soft FM service delivery aligned to DS standards and Project Osprey separation requirements. Operating as the primary EMEA execution lead, this role partners closely with site leaders, regional EHS&S, Quality, Real Estate, Project Delivery, and outsourced service providers to manage daily operations, service performance, risk, and continuity across the EMEA portfolio for all our non‑main campus manufacturing sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilities Operations & Service Delivery: Lead the day‑to‑day FM service delivery across EMEA non-campus sites, ensuring consistent execution of global FM standards while adapting to local regulatory, labor, and infrastructure requirements.
  • Oversee hard and soft FM services, including building operations, maintenance, utilities, janitorial, security coordination, and life‑safety systems.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for EMEA FM operational issues impacting safety, compliance, or business continuity.
  • Vendor & Performance Management: Manage regional FM service providers and site‑level vendors, driving performance against SLAs, KPIs, and service specifications.
  • Support regional contract execution, service transitions, and performance remediation in partnership with Global FM and Procurement.
  • Identify continuous improvement and cost‑optimization opportunities across the EMEA FM portfolio.
  • Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure regulatory compliance, audit readiness, and documentation across diverse EMEA legal, safety, environmental, and labor frameworks.
  • Partner with EHS&S, Quality, Security, and Legal to manage operational risk, incident response, and inspection readiness.
  • Support participation in crisis management and business continuity activities for EMEA sites.
  • Project Osprey & Portfolio Transitions: Execute FM readiness activities for site separations, transfers, new locations, and work‑from‑home transitions under Project Osprey.
  • Provide FM input into capital projects, site transitions, and lease events, ensuring operational requirements are embedded early.
  • Coordinate FM support for site onboarding/offboarding and stabilization activities.
  • Stakeholder & Site Leadership Partnership: act as trusted operational partner to EMEA site leaders providing guidance on facilities capabilities, constraints, and risk tradeoffs.
  • Support alignment between Global FM standards and local site execution, escalating structural gaps or constraints to the Director as needed.
  • As needed, support the APAC non‑campus sites for end‑to‑end operational delivery of FM services.
Qualifications
Education

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Architecture, Business, or

Experience

related field required. Advanced degree preferred but not required.

  • 8–10+ years of experience in Facilities Management, Engineering, or Operations, or related field required preferably in a multinational or regulated environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing outsourced FM service models across multiple sites and/or leveraging strong outsource service provider models for operational execution
  • Experience supporting EMEA countries with diverse regulatory and infrastructure maturity strongly preferred.
  • Experience in medical devices, life sciences, manufacturing, or highly regulated industries required
Skills & Competencies

Anticipated Base Pay Range

€85,000.00 - €146,050.00
