Job summary

Transport Infrastructure Ireland is seeking a Construction Supervisor to oversee on-site works for the Luas light rail network, ensuring works meet programme, quality and safety standards. You will coordinate with contractors, local authorities and utilities, conduct regular inspections, monitor QA/QC, and report progress to the Senior Works Manager.

Qualifications

• Third level qualification in a relevant discipline (NFQ Level 6 or higher) preferable with 5 years’ experience in a senior construction supervisor role.
• Experience on major infrastructure, building or utilities projects; rail/light rail preferred.
• Desirable training: High Risk Confined Space, MapRoad Licensing (MRL), Working at Heights, LUGS, SLG.

Responsibilities

• Carry out regular onsite inspections of the light rail network.
• Monitor Quality Assurance and Quality Control of the contractor’s works.
• Monitor on-site supervision of contractor performance against programme.
• Ensure public relations interfaces are managed and issues addressed promptly.
• Ensure contractors and employees meet health, safety and environmental obligations.
• Coordinate interfaces with Local Authorities, NRA, developers and emergency services.
• Maintain daily progress and resource records for site activities.
• Present inspection outcomes to Senior Works Manager monthly.
• Undertake inspections during unsocial hours as required.
• Collaborate across divisions to meet tight deadlines.
