Job summary

EirGrid Group is seeking a seasoned power systems engineer to lead modelling and analysis for the future operation of Ireland's power system. You will drive the design of operational systems, tools, and standards, collaborating with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders to deliver high‑impact solutions.

Qualifications

Degree in electrical engineering or closely related discipline with 10+ years of relevant experience.
Strong background in power system dynamic modelling and analysis in phasor and EMT domains.
Experience with IBR-dominated systems and stability phenomena.
Experience with EMS & SCADA systems and state estimation concepts.

Responsibilities

Inform the vision for operation of the future power system using deep analysis and insight.
Lead technical projects and engage stakeholders to uplift modelling capabilities.
Develop and validate models and tools across multiple platforms, including automation and data analytics.
Guide and coach junior team members and communicate with senior management.
