Technical Architect (Java & Oracle) - Contract Role

Stelfox is hiring on behalf of one of our Dublin-based clients for an experienced Technical Architect (Java & Oracle) to join a critical enterprise technology programme.

Location: Dublin, Ireland

Working Model: Hybrid (3 days onsite per week)

Contract: 6-Month Initial Contract (Rolling Long-Term Engagement)

As a Technical Architect (Java & Oracle), you will work closely with business stakeholders, engineering teams, product owners, and technology leaders to define and deliver scalable, resilient, and future-ready solutions. You will play a key role in establishing architecture standards, guiding development teams, ensuring technical excellence, and driving innovation across a complex enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and deliver architecture roadmaps aligned to business and technology objectives
• Lead solution architecture and design activities across multiple technology stacks
• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance to engineering teams
• Drive best practices around software design, scalability, security, and performance
• Facilitate architecture workshops and solution-driven discussions

Required Experience

• Strong architecture and design expertise across complex technology platforms
• Hands-on experience with: Java, Spring Framework, Angular, Oracle PL/SQL
• Experience working with Big Data technologies, including Hadoop
• Strong understanding of data architecture, metadata management, and data lineage concepts
• Exposure to cloud technologies and modern distributed architectures
• Experience integrating with third-party vendor platforms and enterprise applications
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience leading technical teams and influencing architecture decisions

Nice to Have

• Experience designing large-scale data-intensive solutions
• Knowledge of cloud-native architecture patterns
• Experience creating reusable enterprise platforms and shared services
• Background working in highly regulated or complex enterprise environments
