Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Java to join a world-class distributed agile team working on commercial virtual payments solutions. You will design and develop the platform, mentor teammates, and collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Ideal candidates have expert Java experience with Spring/Hibernate, strong RESTful API design skills, and cloud-native knowledge (Cloud Foundry, AWS).

Qualifications

• Expert level Java development/architecture experience with Spring/Hibernate.
• Proven experience building world-class solutions on a global scale.
• Strong Agile experience and participation in retrospectives/elaboration sessions.
• Solid experience with RESTful APIs and JSON/SOAP based APIs with Java.
• Ability to design and debug server-side API calls and RESTful APIs.
• Knowledge of cloud-native development such as Cloud Foundry, AWS, etc.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design and development of the platform within a distributed agile team.
• Work with internal stakeholders and senior management to define business requirements and prioritize tasks.
• Mentor junior team members.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and ensure alignment with other products.
• Own and drive delivery of world-class payments solutions.
