Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Java to join a world-class distributed agile team in the commercial virtual payments space, designing and delivering scalable platform capabilities.

You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to define requirements, mentor junior engineers, and drive architectural decisions to ensure alignment with the broader product suite. Proficiency in Java, Spring/Hibernate, RESTful APIs, and cloud-native development is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong/expert Java development and architecture experience, with Spring/Hibernate expertise.
• Proven experience building world-class solutions on a global scale.
• Solid experience with agile environments and retrospectives/elaboration sessions.
• Proficient in RESTful APIs and JSON/SOAP with Java.
• Knowledge of cloud native development (Cloud Foundry, AWS, etc.).

Responsibilities
