Job summary

Mastercard is hiring a Senior Java Software Engineer to join our Dublin-based fraud platform team. You will design, implement and operate a high-performance, distributed in-memory caching layer to support real-time decisioning for payments at global scale.

You will own features end-to-end, collaborate across Agile teams, mentor others, and contribute to architectural direction while maintaining security and resiliency.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency with modern Java (JDK 17+) and distributed systems.
• Experience with Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with Linux, SQL and message-queuing systems; secure development practices.
• CI/CD with Jenkins and Maven; testing with JUnit or equivalents; observability tooling.

Responsibilities

• Own complex features across the full software lifecycle: design, develop, test, deploy and document.
• Design high-performance, secure Java capabilities and APIs; produce professional designs and docs.
• Lead code reviews, drive coding standards and framework adoption; mentor teammates.
