Job summary

Deciphex Limited, part of the Patholytix team, is seeking a mission-driven backend engineer to join a Java-centric squad focused on AI-enabled pathology solutions. You will contribute to on-premise components as well as cloud microservices, while ensuring high-impact, compliant software delivery.

You will work in a cross-functional, agile environment, promoting secure coding practices and leveraging AI tools in the SDLC to ship meaningful innovations that reduce diagnostic times and advance drug

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in Computer Science or related field.
• 6+ years backend development experience.
• Extensive experience in Java.
• Strong Spring ecosystem: Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, OAuth2.
• Experience with Kafka, Hazelcast, RESTful APIs, microservices.
• CI/CD, testing frameworks, build tools.
• Docker, Kubernetes.
• AWS Cloud, MongoDB Atlas, Mongo Lucene, Terraform, Skaffold, Helm.
• Claude Code (BMAD method a plus).
• Other languages: Python, JavaScript.
• Experience in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Work with cross-functional agile teams on flagship product Patholytix.
• Develop on-premise components and cloud microservices; integrate with cloud platforms.
• Design, develop and test architecture changes and product features.
• Use containerization and cloud tech to build, deploy and run services.
• Support product monitoring and troubleshooting to ensure quality.
• Promote best practices and secure development standards.
• Collaborate with other teams to improve products, services and tools.
• Familiarity with AI tools in SDLC and apply in development.
• Complete mandatory company-wide compliance training including QMS/ISMS/GxP/SDLC.
